A Mountain From A Molehill

It seems we have another media mountain from created from molehill. This time it is the UK's Channel 4 TV programme Big Brother and accusations of racism directed by caucasian house guests toward an Indian Bollywood film star. On BBC Radio 4 this morning we hear MP's weighing into the debate appalled by the insulting and shameful behaviour and asking how much longer Big brother can be allowed to continue the broadcast of this on going live show? You can read here to get a flavour of the issues: BBC website.

NPP cannot help feel such programmes can be a catalyst for debate broaching subject matter that may sit uncomfortably below society's skin. At least this programme generates a discussion that may be useful and necessary without resorting to war. Generally the MP's and the moral public voices over react while the ignorant and ridiculous behaviour of our fellow national citizens demonstrate how ill educated and uninformed some are. Education. Education. Education.
